A 2 hour session aimed at people who already service their own equipment, but want a bit more insight into how to get a ski or snowboard running truly fast and sharp.
We’ll take you through sharpening the edges and discussing the various angles and their merits. Then we’ll tackle the dark art of waxing, from what to do to a new base through to how to apply race specific waxes and keeping your base in top condition and running fast to gain those precious tenths. Even if you’re not racing, a base filled with the right waxes will last longer and be more resilient to those little scratches. It will also avoid the structure deteriorating and negate the need for a damaging base grind. We’ll also touch on layering various flouro additives for an ultra fast finish.
The venue for this tuning workshop is Chill Factore, and is run concurrently with the race training session at Chill Factore so that any parents of racers can attend easily whilst others are sliding down the hill.
